More companies are lining up to get Federal assistance following their own bad business decisions to expand into the subprime mortgage marketplace.  This doesn't just affect banks, Wall Steet brokerage firms, and mortgage companies, it now is expanding to insurance companies like the insurance giant AIG.

Even President Bush is feeling the pressure.  He has changed plans to attend Republican fund raisers in the south and will now be staying in Washington to work with economic advisors to hold any further problems.  Oil prices are feeling the crunch, too, with the price of crude oil falling over the continued bad news in the financial markets.
