Companies like Ford Motor Corporation, who have not asked for bailout money are still suffering through the bailout using their own reserves.  These companies, large and small, should be commended for their perseverance and fiscal preparation for that "rainy day."

Meanwhile jobless numbers continue to rise as companies that are belt tightening squeeze out extra employees to trim the fat.  The recent figures are the worst since the numbers were officially tracked in 1967.  President Obama is hopeful that his Economic Recovery Bill will make its way through the Senate after it passed in the House earlier this week.
