As the war in Iraq winds down, the original scene of the war on terror heats up. Afghanistan is seeing an increased amount of violence as foreign nationals flood in to assist the Taliban rebels there.  All of this while countries like Kyrgyzstan want to scale back their support of operations there with base closings and troop withdrawals.
