Since 1956, NANMAC Corporation has been a leader in temperature measurement and control for industrial and research applications, by working cooperatively with our clients on four continents, to provide the highest performance custom thermocouples and hardware related to temperature measurement. We have successfully measured re-entry heat shield temperatures of spacecraft at 5300 degrees F; gun barrel bore surface temperatures, and shock tube temperatures with less than 10 microseconds response time.

NANMAC pioneered true part temperature measurement for plastics, metal or glass; furnace temperatures to 4200 degrees F for prolonged periods, temperatures of a moving wire, fiber, or thread, plastic coating temperature on a paper cup, and surface temperatures of automobile and locomotive disk brakes--just to name a few.

Although we manufacture many conventional thermocouples, we know their limits. Accordingly, we have designed new custom instruments utilizing flat ribbon elements for applications requiring flush mounting, no conduction errors, true wall surface temperatures, good thermal contact and ultra-fast response times. We pay strict attention to the laws of thermodynamics and heat transfer in the design of our heat sensors.

To tackle industrial measurement problems head-on, our Framingham facility maintains a certified calibration laboratory traceable to the National Institute for Standards and Technology (NIST), a pressure and vacuum test facility, a fully tooled machine shop and certified welding shop for the design team.
