Show #152 - Managing Stress in Business Pt2 |
|
This is the second part of an interview with Cary Cooper, Professor of Organisational Psychology and Health at Lancaster University and also Director of Robertson Cooper, leading Business Psychology company. You can check out his blog by clicking here. In this second part we talk about what causes stress in the workplace and how you can solve stress through leadership. Cary also talks about how you can predict stress in the workplace, so that you are managing the environment rather than reacting to the stress when it happens. If you have not listened to the first part then here is the link to podcast 151 which sets out how stress has changed over time and the generations. Cary is a passionate speaker about how leaders should approach wellness programs, not just because it is the right thing to do, but also has a positive impact on the bottom line as it increases employee engagement. I thoroughly enjoyed this interview, and if you have feedback for me on the show then e-mail me at anna@theengagingbrand.com or hop over to Facebook group for The Engaging Brand |
