Sorry for the long hiatus but no better reason to get a show out than for Dale Jr. to break the winless streak. And doing it on fuel is quite amazing. Thank goodness for late race cautions. He maintains 3rd in points and is proving to be very consistent with the new team. Hendrick, Childress and Gibbs dominate the top 12.

Kurt Busch is on a role- the top 12 drivers who will make up the chase may be decided well before Richmond unless someone has some trouble soon. Busch won the twice rain delayed Michigan race. Casey Kahne won the Busch race at Bristol and is on the pole for the cup race. Should be a good short track shootout.

The Glen was one spin out after another with Tony Stewart winning after Jeff Gordon gave it away. Dale Jr. finishes 42nd and drops another spot in the points, now 100 points out of the case with 4 races to go. A rant on Paul Woody, Richmond Times Dispatch columnist who makes a stink about product endorsements just because the product is beer- he knows how NASCAR works and is talking out of both sides of his mouth in my opinion.

Everham Motorsports hit hard. Kasey Kahne loses his crew chief for 4 races, is fined 50 driver points and Ray Everham is fined 50 owner points for aero modifications outside of the rules. Matt Kenseth will get hit with the same for a missing cap in the wheel well causing the car to fail post qualifying inspection. The other two Everham cars (10 adn 19) were also fined for pre-qualifying inspection
