Decision Strategies was established in 1993 by Gerald A. Bush as an alliance with Kenneth R. Oppenheimer, one of the pioneers of decision analysis methods at Stanford Research Institute. The initial focus of the group was the training and coaching of clients for internalization of the methodology within their organizations. Based on client feedback about our common philosophy, David Skinner merged his Institute for Organizational Effectiveness into Decision Strategies in 1999, concurrent with the publication of the second edition of his book “Introduction to Decision Analysis”.
